We looked up 99 local businesses in Amesbury on Google Maps in October 2026, including salons (18), real estate offices (13) and electricians (9).
34 of the working sites belonged to appointment businesses (salons, auto shops and yoga studios). 8 of them had no way to book online, so every appointment means a phone call during business hours.
15 had no website on their Google listing at all, and 2 more only linked to a Facebook or Instagram page. Someone searching on a phone gets a phone number and not much else. That is less than the 23% we saw across all 34 towns we checked.

Chains and medical offices are left out. A "dead" link means the website on the Google listing didn't load, showed an error or showed a parked page when we opened it. We don't name anyone, and the numbers are a snapshot.
